Plano homes have some miles on them
Plano grew up earlier than its neighbors to the north. Much of East Plano was built in the 1970s, and West Plano neighborhoods like Deerfield and Willow Bend filled in through the 1980s and 1990s. These are well built, well kept houses, and most of them are thirty to fifty years old.
That age shows in predictable places: exterior trim softened by wood rot, interior doors that have shifted with the clay soil, walls patched by several owners, and kitchens and baths with hardware from another decade.
What Plano homeowners call us for
Door adjustments and new locks, drywall patches and paint blending, trim repair, TV mounting where the old cabinet TV used to sit, and cabinet hardware swaps that update a kitchen for a few hundred dollars. Plano homes sell often, so pre listing touchups and buyer inspection lists are a regular part of our week.
When it's time for more, we remodel the original bathrooms and kitchens these homes were built with. See our general contracting work.

Plano handyman questions
Do you serve all of Plano?
Yes, east and west. Plano is a short drive from our Frisco base. Most jobs are scheduled the same week, often within days.
Can you fix the wood rot on my trim?
Yes. Older Plano homes often have rotted exterior trim around doors, windows and garage frames. We cut out the bad wood, replace it and paint it. It's priced after a quick look or a few photos.
My doors stick and my walls crack every summer. Why?
Plano sits on expansive clay soil that swells when it's wet and shrinks when it's dry, so houses shift with the seasons. Doors fall out of line and drywall cracks at the corners. An adjustment and a patch usually fix it.
